During the 2018-2019, 2019-2020, and 2020-2021 school years, Capital City Lighthouse Charter School used the evidenced-base program from the Orton-Gillingham Based System: Barton Reading & Spelling System in small group intervention to address the deficit areas of students identified as exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia.
Number of Students Who Received Dyslexia Intervention
During the 2018-2019 school year, 22 students attending Capital City Lighthouse Charter School received dyslexia intervention services from a trained dyslexia interventionist.
During the 2019-2020 school year, 11 students attending Capital City Charter School are receiving dyslexia intervention services from a trained dyslexia interventionist.
During the 2020-2021 school year, 10 students attending Capital City Lighthouse Charter School are receiving dyslexia intervention services from a trained dyslexia interventionist.
Total Number of Students Identified as Exhibiting the Characteristics of Dyslexia
During the 2018-2019 school year, 100 students attending Capital City Lighthouse Charter School were identified as exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia.
During the 2019-2020 school year, 47 students attending Capital City Charter School have been identified as exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia.
During the 2020-2021 school year, 14 students attending Capital City Charter School have been identified as exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia.
