Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools (ARLCS) invites families and scholars to Title I Night: Dinner on the Grounds, taking place Thursday, November 13th at 4:30 PM. The evening will feature a community meal, school updates, and a celebration of the district’s steady growth — reflected in its recent “C” grade under the Arkansas Department of Education’s (ADE) new accountability system.
The event will spotlight ARLCS’s focus on collaboration and progress. Families will enjoy a shared meal, hear from district leaders, experience mini-lessons from our educators, and learn more about how Title I resources and partnerships are supporting scholar success.
“Title I Night is about connection — between families, educators, and the goals we share for every student,” said Superintendent Noel. “We’re proud of the progress reflected in our new district rating, and even prouder of the teamwork that makes that growth possible.”
The ADE’s updated accountability framework introduces a more transparent, growth-focused approach to evaluating school performance. It measures schools on five key indicators that together offer a fuller picture of student success:
Achievement: Are students performing at levels 3 or 4 on state assessments?
Growth of All Students: Are students meeting their individual growth targets?
Growth of the Lowest Quarter: Are the students who are farthest behind making meaningful progress?
Success Ready Graduate: Are students graduating within four years?
Postsecondary Readiness: Are students demonstrating readiness for enlistment, enrollment, or employment after high school?
These indicators emphasize not only academic performance but also consistent growth and readiness for life beyond graduation.
ARLCS leaders believe this balanced approach mirrors their district vision — schools anchored in growth, driven by dedicated educators, and supported by families who believe in their mission.
As part of this statewide effort, ADE is also updating its My School Info platform to make school performance data more accessible to families through redesigned Arkansas School Report Cards.
Families are encouraged to attend Title I Night: Dinner on the Grounds at Arkansas Lighthouse Charter Schools – Jacksonville campus to learn more about how these updates impact their child’s learning journey and to celebrate the district’s continued commitment to excellence.
