The scholars at Jacksonville Lighthouse Elementary are learning the true meaning of “farm to table! ”Scholars enjoyed growing, harvesting, and eating vegetables from the school garden this Spring! The fresh veggies were used to prepare healthy snacks for all students by the school cafeteria! The GT scholars will continue to nurture and maintain the latest edition to the garden, which are the Fall vegetables pictured to the right!

Current Events...

Our scholars are participating in engaging project-based lessons and activities! Also, we are proudly celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and encouraging scholars to embrace and respect diverse cultures at all Lighthouse campuses!

Upcoming Events...

AS students are settling into their school routines, there are so many
opportunities for growth!
● Focus beyond academic progress
● Encourage your scholar to grow socially and emotionally
● Encourage them to…
○ take small risks--don’t be afraid to make mistakes while they learn
○ sit or talk with a new friend at lunch
○ try new activities and learn something new
○ be bold and share their thinking during class

Each new accomplishment is worth celebrating!!!
