Wear your clothes backwards, insideout, mix & match, or dress as the opposite gender

Dress like your favorite celebrity, cartoon, or character
Friday 10/12: Dress in your Class Colors
Represent your grade by wearing your color. Seniors are Tie Dye, 11th Purple, 10th Blue, 9th Green, 8th Yellow, 7th Red.

Our 8th graders had a blast today at UAPB. They were able to tour the Agriculture department and even play with ducks! Thank you UAPB for hosting us and thank you to our amazing teachers for putting this experience together ❤️🦁

As we wrap up October and Breast Cancer Awareness month, we would like to thank the Warrior Women for recognizing one our our very own Warrior Women, Mrs. Chandra Macias, for her fight with breast cancer. Always upbeat, smiling, and encouraging, Mrs. Macias is an important part of our Lighthouse family and we are proud to see her recognized by this amazing organization.

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is celebrated Nov 1-2 as a way of remembering our loved ones who have passed away ❤️ this year we have set up our own altar at JLHS. We encourage our scholars to bring pictures of their passed loved ones.

Did you know that the ASVAB is not only for those who are interested in the military? This test assists scholars with career exploration as well.

We are looking for organizations and businesses willing to host senior students as interns during the week of Nov 15-19th.
Our goal is to give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make connections in professional fields, and it gives employers the opportunity to guide and evaluate talent.
This year, our scholars have a wide range of interest such as the following:

- Health Service
- Finance, Accounting
- Entrepreneurships
- Military

- IT, Computer Science
- Welding, Plumbing, Automotive
- Arts, Graphic Design, Photography

Our Scholar Garden at Jacksonville Lighthouse Elementary school is packed with Fall produce and blooming once again. Scholar picked garden fresh lettuce today that will be served during snack time at the school tomorrow. We love seeing all of the great things our scholars are growing this year!

The Arkansas Lighthouse Academies October Board Meeting for October 20th has been moved to October 27th at 5:30pm. Please join us at the Jacksonville Lighthouse High School Academy for this meeting.


Tomorrow, the Jacksonville High School Academy will be celebrating this year's Blue and Gold Game. The game will be at 5pm in the Mike Wilson Athletic Center. Admission will be $5 per adults and $3 for scholars. There will also be a concession stand.
To celebrate, scholars are invited to wear blue and gold school appropriate attire to school tomorrow.
