Although temperatures warmed over the weekend, ice has not fully melted on many secondary roads and parking lots throughout the area. Travel conditions — particularly on side streets, in neighborhoods, and in driveways — remain unsafe in several locations.
Due to these conditions, all Arkansas Lighthouse schools and offices will remain closed. All events and activities are canceled and will be rescheduled.
We are hopeful that offices and schools will resume normal operations soon; however, the District will continue to monitor weather conditions and roadways. An update regarding the status of schools and offices will be shared as soon as it becomes available.
ARLCS will continue to keep families informed through the district website, email, phone calls, social media, and local media outlets.
Thank you for your continued patience and partnership as we prioritize the safety of our scholars and staff. Please stay safe and warm!
