Today, we celebrated Black History Month with heart, history, and harmony! ❤️💛💚 Our middle-high celebration was filled with powerful speeches, poetry, singing, dancing, and fun trivia that honored the rich legacy and contributions of Black leaders past and present. Thank you to our talented scholars and staff who made this possible!

This year’s celebration is extra special — Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter School has been awarded a $997 Red Ribbon Grant from the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Association to support our ongoing efforts to promote healthy, drug-free schools!
Thanks to this grant, we’re expanding our Red Ribbon Week activities, student-led initiatives, and educational programs that build a culture of empowerment and awareness.
A big thank-you to Sheriff Eric S. Higgins with the Pulaski County, Arkansas Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Association for their continued support, as well as our School Counselor, Cynethia Easter, for writing this proposal!

To ensure safety and accountability, all scholars are required to have their school ID badge, lanyard, and Yondr pouch each day.
Effective immediately, the following replacement costs and progressive consequences will apply:
Replacement Costs
Replacement lanyard – $5
Replacement lanyard and badge – $25
Replacement Yondr pouch – $35
Progressive Consequences
1st Occurrence – Replacement fee only.
2nd Occurrence – Replacement fee + parent/guardian notification.
3rd Occurrence – Replacement fee + parent/guardian meeting + possible loss of privileges.
4th Occurrence and beyond – Replacement fee + administrative referral for further action.
